Don’t force it. The more you think about it, the bigger it gets. “It” being trying to forget about someone. Don’t beat yourself up about “getting over” it. You will, in time. Just focus on what you’re feeling and getting it out of your system, organically and listening to your impulses like talking it out. Writing about it. Reading about it. It’s natural. You just have to go with it. It’s not a bad thing to be hung up on someone. Time knows and you know when to give it a rest too. You’ll wake up one day as though it never happened.
